With the Olympics ending today, here's a recap of our Jewish gold medalists: Amit Elor won gold in wrestling for Team USA. An absolute powerhouse, Amit hasn’t lost a match since 2019, even while facing a scourge of antisemitism and the unimaginable tragedy of losing her father and brother. Tom Reuveny won gold in the men’s iQFoil windsurfing final for Team Israel. Tonight, he’ll carry the Israeli flag during the closing ceremony. Jessica Fox and Noemie Fox earned the rare distinction of being a Jewish sibling duo that both won gold for Team Australia. Jessica secured TWO gold medals in C-1 and K-1 canoe slalom, while Noemie won gold in K-1 canoe slalom. Jackie Dubrovich and Maia Weintraub won gold in women’s foil fencing for Team USA. Both Ivy League students, Jackie graduated from Columbia, and Maia deferred a year from Princeton to train for the games. We are incredibly proud of each of you, and of every Jewish and Israeli athlete who competed!
