Israel's northern front has been quiet for hours now. No more rockets are falling, but I can't help but feel like the next one is only seconds away. How many children are hiding in their bedrooms, feeling the same as me? The immediate threat of death is over, at least from the North, but the mental scars are still here. They always will be. For me and for every other civilian in this conflict. All we can do now is work towards permanent peace, so our children's children don't know the fear of falling rockets or shrapnel wounds. A future where the children in the Middle East can live without fear.
