If someone told me that they thought everyone who wears a hijab is a monster who deserves to die, I would tell them they are being anti-Muslim. If they argued that not all Muslims wear hijabs so it's not anti-Muslim, I'd tell them that's stupid. If they then started protesting outside of Mosques, I would protest against them and call them out for their behavior. This is perfectly understandable, right? Yet a larger percentage of Jews are Zionist than the percentage of Muslims who wear hijabs, yet saying you want to see a Zionist die is okay. There are protestors who claim every synagogue is a "valid political target" because they are "Zionist institutions." I make the comparison not because I think Muslims have it easy or I want the world to target them the way they target Jews. Honestly, I don't want to make comparisons at all. But when I talk about Jews just as Jews, it's like the world puts on blinders. So maybe this thought experiment can help people understand where we are coming from.
