Yesterday, Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, released a report they conducted over the last two years revealing how Jewish American women have been affected by antisemitism. More than 60% of the Jewish women surveyed said they feel physically or psychologically unsafe in their academic, professional and social spheres, due to anti-Jewish hate. This statistic is just appalling. What world is it we live in where 21st-century women feel this threatened for being who they are. This must be a wake-up call. Jewish American women, just like any woman, deserve to live their lives without needing to hide their identity and feel in danger if they don’t.
