The United Nations General Assembly has voted in favor of seeking the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion on Israel's legal obligation to facilitate aid into Gaza. This vote comes mere days after reports of a man being tortured for refusing to allow Hamas to steal the aid he was delivering came in. The facilitation of humanitarian aid is not just a legal obligation Israel has, but a moral one. But it doesn't really matter how much aid you provide when Hamas steals as much as they can. I can't wait to hear the ICJ's nuanced opinion on this problem that definitely won't ignore most of the issue and be entirely one-sided against Israel 🙄
