A recent review of Irish textbooks revealed trivialization of the Holocaust and negative portrayals of the Jewish faith. Auschwitz, a Nazi extermination camp where 1.1 million people, most of them Jews, were gassed, tortured, and worked to death, was referred to as a “prisoner of war camp” in an Irish textbook. The world needs to accept that whoever you think of Israel’s embassy decision, Ireland DOES have an antisemitism problem.
