Mila Cohen was one of the youngest victims of the October 7 massacre. At just 10 months old, she was cruelly shot by Hamas while in her mother's arms. Her mother, Sandra, though gravely wounded, managed to survive and escape with her two sons, Dylan and Liam. Tragically, Mila's father, Ohad Cohen, 43, was also murdered that day, along with his mother, Yona, 73, whose body was discovered 11 days later in her home in Kibbutz Be'eri. In mere minutes, Hamas obliterated three generations of the Cohen family. The Kibbutz Be'eri obituary described Mila as a child who "brought light and love" into her family's life. "For nine months, the family enjoyed the harmony that Mila created around her-until that cursed Saturday." Yona was remembered as "always smiling, like a ray of sunshine." Ohad was described as "an intelligent, funny, and talented man—a true friend, with a rare blend of kibbutznik directness and unusual sensitivity. He always chose to be happy." Never forget that this war began with Hamas shattering families like the Cohens. May their memory be a blessing 💔
