“He’s not a suspect; he’s a soldier who’s been through hell” An unnamed IDF soldier who is himself a survivor of Hamas’s massacre at the Nova musical festival was target with a ‘war crimes’ probe while traveling in Brazil. The young man ran from Hamas for hours as they murdered and raped his fellow concertgoers, yet people still don't understand why Israel needs an army, service in which is compulsory for most citizens? An army, that, by the way, has internal processes for dealing with soldiers' misconduct when it happens? But the world doesn’t care about facts. It’s easier to demonize a soldier—someone with zero policymaking power—than to confront the truth of Jewish humanity and Israel’s right to self-defense. Why is defending Jewish lives the only crime the world can’t forgive?
