Yarden Bibas is being released tomorrow. Hamas told him that his wife and infant sons were dead. Hamas also said Emily Hand and Daniella Gilboa were dead. So, he has no idea if Hamas is telling the truth or not. We don't either. Hamas could easily take photos or videos of the surviving hostages to let us know. But they won't, because the cruelty is the point. It is the only point they are ever interested in making.
