I keep seeing the Holocaust inversion argument that Jews—and Israel—are “just like the Nazis.” It’s obviously a lie meant to harm Jews and brand us as the people who seek to destroy us. At the risk of ‘turning out my empty pocket’ to the antisemites, let me break it down for those too dense to think for themselves: ▪ The Holocaust was an industrialized genocide. The Nazis built an entire, sophisticated system to exterminate Jews—gas chambers, firing squads, concentration camps. The genocide was literally written into German law: exterminate the Jews. Jews had no weapons, no army, no state, and no protections. And most importantly, the Jews did nothing. Hitler believed that Jews were inherently inhuman, more like animals than people, and because of this, they were unworthy of life. The Jews didn't attack, rape, or kidnap German soldiers, let alone German civilians, at the start of the Holocaust. ▪ A war is not a genocide. Israel is fighting Hamas—a terrorist group with an army, rockets, and foreign backing. Israel has not set up any methods to commit genocide, nor has it stated its intent to do so. In fact, Israel has been supplying Gazans with food, water, electricity, and other essentials throughout the war, something no other country would not be expected to do for its enemy's people. ▪ Ask yourself: When in history has a ‘genocidal’ country sent humanitarian aid to the people it’s allegedly trying to erase? Israel warns civilians before strikes, moves populations out of combat zones, allows food and medicine in, and treats Palestinian patients in its hospitals. No genocide has ever looked like that— because this isn’t one. ▪ This false comparison isn’t just wrong—it’s a form of Holocaust denial. It distorts history and erases Jewish pain. Imagine telling a Holocaust survivor that their family’s murder was the same as a military operation against terrorists who vowed to destroy all Jews. ▪ Jews are not and will never be like Nazis. Israel’s existence is Hitler’s worst nightmare. In fact, Hitler was an anti-Zionist. Hamas is too. The mufti of Jerusalem (who would be called a Palestinian today) collaborated with Hitler to support exterminating the Jews. ▪ There are 2M Arabs living in Israel as full citizens, some of them identify as Palestinians. Many of these Arab Israelis serve in the Israeli Army (IDF) and are fighting in Gaza. ▪ If Israel wanted genocide, Gaza wouldn’t exist. If Hamas wanted peace, this war wouldn’t exist. Glad we cleared this one out.
