ELIYA COHEN’S FIRST TESTIMONY: • Eliya was chained by the hands and feet. • He was force-fed by Hamas in the weeks leading up to his release, causing him to unsafely and rapidly gain 17 pounds. • He suffered from deliberate starvation, and Hamas terrorists would eat in front of him while denying him food as a form of torture. • He returned with severe wounds on his legs and shoulders, along with a limp due to Hamas’ chains and abuse. • He spent most of his captivity in the tunnels, often in complete darkness, alongside Or Levi, Alon Ohel, and Eli Sharabi. • He was completely cut off from the outside world and had no idea if his partner, Ziv Aboud, had survived the “death bunker.” Eliya endured a nightmare so horrific that no horror movie could capture it, yet Hamas made it his reality for 505 days. 63 hostages are still in Gaza.
