You have really lost the plot if you think that a documentary determined to equate Hamas as a fighting force for the people of Gaza is a humanizing portrayal. Normally when people say Hamas and Palestinians are the same they mean it in the most dehumanizing way possible. Because Hamas does horrific things. It's also pretty insulting to the victims of Hamas's widespread violence to act like they are just champions for the people. And I mean Palestinian victims of Hamas violence too. But maybe because you only get your info on the conflict from sources carefully curated by Hamas, you haven't seen the videos upon videos of Hamas shooting Gazans in the legs, executing them in broad daylight, or whipping them.

The BBC has really lost the plot if it thinks trust in its journalism has been damaged by allowing a 13-year-old to narrate a humanising portrait of Gaza's children living through a 15-month genocide – rather than its utter failure to properly report that genocide.
