Today, my heart is with the family of murdered hostage Ohad Yahalomi, z”l. They waited so long, only to bury him. It’s unbearable to know he could have been released alive—he should have been—but was murdered by Hamas in captivity. He was supposed to come home. On October 7, Ohad bravely fought the terrorists before being kidnapped along with his entire family. His wife managed to escape with their daughters on the way to Gaza, but little Eitan, their son, was held by different terrorists. He remained in Gaza for 52 days, many of them alone, until he was released during the first ceasefire. The Yahalomi family will never see Ohad again, because of Hamas. No hostage should come home in a coffin. Don’t normalize it. Hamas is tearing families apart.
