Israel did withdraw in 2005, which you acknowledge, but you also argue that it isn't enough. Of course, ideally, Israel would have not be in charge of letting essentials like water, electricity, and food into the Strip and it would be a fully autonomous nation. However, Hamas has no interest in ruling the strip. Neither do Arab countries like Egypt who ruled over the strip from 1949-1967. They don't want a self-sufficient Palestinian nation unless it is over the ruins of Israel because they feel like it would hurt their cause otherwise. Of course, Israel should not be in charge of the Strip or have power over the Strip. But unfortunately, Hamas does exist. And as much as you want to act like Hamas is "no big deal," that's not true. They've been killing and terrorizing Palestinians and Israelis alike since they were created in 1987.
