21% of Israel’s population is Arab and Muslim. Every sign in Israel is written in Hebrew and Arabic (and often English). The country has over 400 mosques, and you can hear the muezzin’s call to prayer even in Tel Aviv, a Jewish-majority city. Tel Aviv wasn’t built on Jaffa’s ruins, it was built beside it. To this day, the two areas coexist. Arab Israelis have passports, the right to vote, healthcare, access to education, and hold key positions in government, hospitals, or universities. They have the same rights as any other Israeli—Jewish, Christian, or otherwise. Before shouting “apartheid,” come see for yourself.
