“Daniel was a paramedic, a personal trainer, and always the funniest, most charismatic person in the room.” Today would have been the birthday of Daniel Peled, z’’l, one of Emily Damari’s closest friends. Daniel, 28, was murdered in his home in Kfar Aza, alongside his parents, Izhar and Gila. Izhar, a respected retired police officer, Gila, a devoted nurse, and Daniel, a paramedic who dreamed of studying medicine, each spent their lives helping others and making the world a better place. Daniel, affectionately nicknamed “Dandi” by his friends, was famous for his love of gummy candies. “This is how we chose to remember Daniel — sweet, colorful, full of life, and good for the heart, just like gummy candy.” Daniel is survived by his siblings, Yoni, Reut, and Rotem, as well as many nieces and nephews.
