One of the journalists who won a Pulitzer Prize this year has a history of denying that Hamas holds hostages. Mosab Abu Toha believes that if someone served in the army in the past, they can never be held hostage. Even if their conditions do not comply with requirements for POWs. Even if they finished their service years prior. Even if their service was required, in the first place. That isn’t a legitimate perspective for a journalist, who is meant to tell an unbiased story. It’s a clear double standard that dehumanizes Jews. Shame on Pulitzer for ignoring their own standards when it comes to Jews and Israelis.
