NEW: Omer Wenkert shares horrifying details of his time in Hamas captivity: When he was taken to Gaza: “Two-year-olds on their parents’ shoulders, with stones, lynching me, blocking Hamas vans and trying to pull me away from them – while they beat me with everything they had.” Wenkert was then briefly held in a hospital in Gaza, where he was tied up and in his underwear, after the terrorists had stripped him during the kidnapping. “Then I was transferred to another van, we drove for a few minutes, underground. I was there until my last day. I didn’t come out once since October 7.” “They gave me one pita bread a day, and it was covered in mold. At one point they also spat on me, humiliated me, cursed me, and physically abused me. They hit me several times with a lead pipe.” Wenkert said he held a "memorial ceremony" for the person he had been. "I said goodbye to myself first, and then I imagined my mother and father saying goodbye to me." How many more times will the returned hostages have to share the most traumatic moments of their lives before the world realizes that bringing them home must be our top priority?
