BREAKING: Al-Ghad TV in Cairo reports that instead of releasing the hostages in one week, Hamas replied to the mediators on the new Witkoff framework with a demand to divide the release of living and deceased hostages into three stages and five releases. The ceasefire agreement included one release a week after the agreement is signed. According to the report, on the first day, Hamas would release four living hostages; on the 30th day, two more living hostages would be released; and on the 60th day—the final day of the ceasefire—an additional four living hostages would be released. In addition, Hamas proposed that the deceased hostages they have slaughtered, be handed over on the 10th, 30th, and 50th days of the ceasefire. Their response also included a demand to allow Gaza residents to cross into Egypt via the Rafah crossing, and a demand for the withdrawal of the IDF entirely from the Gaza Strip. They also demanded negotiations to begin on complete end of the war. Even with a deal signed, they want the hostages’ families to suffer until the very last day of the ceasefire.
