Greta Thunberg claimed she was going to Gaza “to save the people of Palestine.” But judging by the size of her sailboat, how many people does she really expect to save? The Freedom Flotilla “Madleen” has never been about genuinely helping Palestinians. If it were, they’d be supporting the new American initiative that successfully delivered millions of meals, bypassing Hamas entirely. But that’s not the point. The goal is to generate media buzz, not aid. It’s a stage for washed-up actors and opportunistic politicians to burnish their image and play the hero. Let’s be honest: they probably don’t even want to reach Gaza. Being stopped by Israel on the way gets them more headlines than quietly arriving with five boxes of tuna for two million people.
