I just got off the phone with a close friend in Ukraine. She was sheltering in Kyiv last night as Russia launched another wave of missiles and Shahed drones. She told me she counted dozens of explosions just in her neighborhood. I could picture it too clearly, because I was in the same situation last week in Israel. I know what it’s like to sit in a bomb shelter, feeling the walls shake as Iran launches missile after missile. And yet, some Western activists twist themselves into knots, trying to portray Hamas as Ukraine and Israel as Russia. It’s beyond offensive. It’s delusional. The truth is, we’re up against the same enemy. Russia. The Islamic Republic in Iran. Hamas. Same tactics. Same cruelty. Same disregard for human life. They even launch a second missile minutes after the first to hit the rescue teams. My friend said five ambulances were damaged last night responding to the first impact. We know this playbook. We’ve lived it. Over 500 drones and dozens of missiles hit Ukraine in one night. Dozens injured. At least three of them children. And as always, that terrible silence as you wait to hear who made it through the night. Even though I’m back in London now, I could feel every word she said. Israelis won’t move on from Ukraine’s fight. We understand it too well. The world may have turned the page, but we haven’t, and we won’t. We’ll keep speaking up for Ukraine until justice is done. 🇮🇱🇺🇦
