“I cried the tears of my life because I realized that there was nothing I could do. How do I protect my children in this situation?” Hamas survivor Ofer Kalderon gave his first interview, where he recounted the horror of October 7. Ofer shared that when Hamas terrorists broke into his home in Nir Oz, he managed to escape through the window with his son Erez, 12, and daughter Sahar, 16. They hid in the bushes for hours, until Hamas men eventually found them. Ofer was brutally beaten, left bleeding and injured, as he watched helplessly while his two children were kidnapped right in front of him. He also revealed that he saw former Hamas leader Sinwar in the tunnels. Kalderon described his eventual release after a year and half alongside Yarden Bibas. He recalled how, before Yarden was freed, the terrorists told him: “Why are you sad? Just make yourself a new family. Why do you care?” Never forget the hell the hostages came out of. 50 are still down there, trapped with Hamas monsters. We must bring them home.
