Comfotable enough? I’d say such desperate measure proves just how uncomfortable China is this time, which also proves that Trump is hitting where it hurts most. And the burden is not on the US to “choose”, but on the firms to “choose”, which is why I said decoupling is coming.

This is not about decoupling. This is about Beijing finally feeling comfortable enough to push back against what they’ve long seen as extraterritorial reach by the US over their own firms & banks. The move now places the burden back on the US to “choose” to enforce & escalate.
