Mr. Secretary-General, if you say the UN won’t participate in any operation “that doesn’t adhere to impartiality,” then why are you running a $1.5 billion operation called UNRWA whose top officials in Gaza and Lebanon were Hamas terror chiefs Suhail al-Hindi & Fathi Sharif?

I'm alarmed by reported plans by Israel to expand ground operations in Gaza. I emphasize the @UN will not participate in any operation that doesn't adhere to international law & humanitarian principles - humanity, impartiality, independence & neutrality. I reiterate my appeal for the full support of @UNRWA’s work. And I reject the repeated displacement of the population – along with any question of forced displacement outside of Gaza.
