2/ Prior to being hired for the UN's Goldstone Commission, Baars already had prominently revealed her hostility towards Israel, both through her scholarship and her ardent anti-Israel activism. The most basic due diligence, such as a review of Baars’ CV and a google search of her name, would have revealed her prejudice and made it clear that prosecuting Israelis in international courts was essentially her life’s dream—in other words, that she was the opposite of the impartial, neutral and objective human rights officer as required by the UN Charter and UN Staff Regulations and Staff Rules.
