🚨New Report 🚨Yale HRL confirms displacement and bombardment in El Obeid, North Kordofan between 2-14 January 2026. There is an increase of almost 800 IDP tents as well as bombardment in both Al-Jaballiya neighborhood and damage to El Obeid’s power plant visible in 🛰️imagery.

Satellite imagery collected between 02 and 14 January 2026 over El Obeid shows the new presence of at least 786 tents at the IDP Camp in the center of the city. The 20 blue tents appear approximately 4 meters by 3.5 meters, the 368 white tents are approximately 7.5 meters by 5 meters, and the 398 white tents with markings are approximately 5 meters by 4 meters. Open sources reported that Al-Jallabiya was bombarded on 6 January 2026; at least 10 deaths were reported. The bombardment struck the roof of the facility along what appears to be the crossbeam, or central support of the roof. Open sources reported that the facility was bombarded on 4 January 2025. Analysis conducted by Yale HRL. Imagery collected between 02 and 14 January 2026 shows the new presence of approximately 60 grave mounds at the Zindi Cemetery in El Obeid. Also visible on 14 January 2026 is a likely ongoing burial, with an excavated hole containing an object in its center. Apparent people surround the hole in addition to the new presence of at least 12 vehicles parked on the eastern side of the cemetery.
