I often try to be fair, just for the sake of decency and for professionalism, but I have no and likely will never have any good relation with the idea of Palestine or the Palestinian cause for very compelling personal reasons: I had to flee my home country, Egypt, due to very real political and social oppressive conditions, which were often done in the name of Palestine, only to find the "cause" following me in the US, where I still have to resist its tyranny that is now enshrined itself in many American institutions and still affecting my life very negatively. Thus, I have little respect, almost none, for any Westerner who grew up in the soft cushy embrace of Western democratic societies and who thinks they are better than me because they support Palestine.
