Reposting the first correct answer for yesterday's challenge. Since failing the bounds check always leads to nullptr deref, which is undefined behavior, compiler can simply optimize the check out. Which clang does.

@ifsecure *nullptr is UB, and i guess the compiler might just optimise that check out?
