I'm guessing Ireland wouldn't be their first choice, but, hey, it's EU, so they'll probably take it and then maximum move over to the continent if they get fed up of all the rain. #leavingGaza

Gazans I'm speaking with tell me that if they were allowed to leave the Strip, they would do so willingly. However, that willingness depends on which countries will receive them. "If they could go to Europe, Canada, Australia, or America, they would certainly go there, far away from the destroyed Gaza that is not fit for living," they tell me. "If it's the options that are currently on the table, such as Egypt, Jordan, Somalia, and Morocco, then no. Those options are ba,d and they will not leave to go there." I asked them if the current refusal of Gazans lies simply in the plan to encourage them to leave or the various destinations, and they say it's the destinations. "Reconstruction will take a long time and it will be a 'political card' that will be misused. People will not be able to endure forever in a destroyed place and they will not migrate to places where there is no stability, prosperity, and development."
