Mohammed Nasser responds to the Israeli decision to halt food, water and (he claims) electricity to Gaza. His first reaction was like mine "What electricity?" Another reaction of his is directed to Israel: if Gazans are hungry, your "prisoners" (what Gazans call the hostages) will also be hungry. This is interesting. It seems Gazans are unaware of the huge effect the sight of the starved hostages has had on the Israeli public. If before, many Israelis thought better to give Gazans food so our hostages will also get it, we now know for a fact that they were starved even when food was plentiful in Gaza, as policy, as intentional torture. Israelis are furious to see plump Gazans gorging themselves on shawarma, while the hostages are being starved and tortured. To emphasize his misunderstanding of the Israeli mindset on this subject, he asks how can we complain about the condition of the "prisoners" when we are causing it. Again, we know hostages were forbidden from eating the foods they were often forced to cook for their jailers, who ate in front of them to taunt them.
