"Hamas Out" protests in Gaza Watching Gazans return home to North Gaza during the ceasefire, cleaning up their homes, buying kitchen utensils, some even turning on the fridge, it was clear to me that the inevitable return to war would break them. I just didn't know how this would manifest. @Eyalo365 called it all along when he said the most important thing to the Gazans was the land. It was not the halting of supplies that drove the Gazans into the streets, it wasn't even the renewal of the bombings, it was the specter of renewed displacement. Even those living in tents among the rubble of their former homes had the hope of rebuilding. Some were even starting to do it. And Fatah is making good use of the despair the Gazans are now feeling. These elders in Beit Lahya, North Gaza, had already received IDF evacuation orders. "The rule of Hamas in Beit Lahya is finished!" they cry. Of course, Hamas has already published a counter announcement, ostensibly by the elders of Beit Lahya, refuting this. #حماس_برا https://bird.makeup/@eyalo365/1904621849264480555
