A Dell XPS 13 9370 owner has traced pins and needles in his hands to his laptop: the 2018 flagship’s palm rest has worn through to bare carbon fibre. He tagged Dell and described it as “like a cactus constantly pricking me” whenever he types. Parker Drouillard posted microscope footage of what he says are carbon fibres lodged in his fingertip. He has taped over the palm rests as a fix. Dell markets that palm rest as aerospace-inspired carbon and woven glass fibre.
