❗️ Estonia's defense minister got scammed by Indians for €70 million. He is now resigning over an ammunition deal with a firm that had never made an artillery shell. Pevkur says what arrived was not useless, only incomplete and of insufficient quality. State procurement agency ECDI paid the money upfront to Datasel, a tiny Italian firm that had never sold a shell and had switched to arms dealing weeks before an Indian munitions group bought it in March 2024. Rounds later reached a European warehouse without fuzes, propellant or primers. Ukraine got nothing usable. Datasel denies the goods were defective.
