The fifth round of Iran-US talks in Rome was constructive, a senior Trump administration official said on Friday. “We made further progress, but there is still work to be done,” the official said, adding that both sides agreed to meet again “in the near future.” The US was represented in the talks by Steve Witkoff and State Department policy planning director Michael Anton, according to the official.
