Israel Radar
1. Before the war, Israel’s enemies openly boasted of their military buildup & plans to attack. Threats to destroy Israel or kill Israelis were a normal occurrence. But after October 7, openly preparing to attack Israel could carry very high risks. 2. As Israel’s defense doctrine changes, IDF is much likelier to take preemptive action to neutralize emerging threats. These days, aggressive rhetoric plus active military buildup on Israel’s borders could be suicidal. 3. Will be interesting to see if enemies on Israel’s borders change their approach: toning down or avoiding overly aggressive rhetoric & no longer showing off their military arsenals. Still too early to tell, jihadists in Syria will be an interesting case study.
