Very interesting revelation by @Nadav_Eyal: A senior Hamas member traveled to Beirut to inform Hezbollah of Hamas’ plan to invade Israel. But he never met with Nasrallah (originally Hamas chief Sinwar was supposed to go, but Israel wouldn’t allow it). The Hamas member, Khalil al-Hayya, met with a senior Iranian officer and informed him that Hamas will launch an assault on Israel. For unknown reasons, the Iranian commander did not update Nasrallah or Tehran. So when Hamas attacked on October 7, Hezbollah was unprepared. The entire war could have been very different if Sinwar met Nasrallah as planned.
