Claims that Israel's war in Gaza will radicalize the Palestinians were always ridiculous. Gaza residents have held extremist views for decades. This is what led to October 7. Israel's problem is existing, deep-seated Palestinian extremism, not imaginary future radicalization.

These numbers are very similar to figures before this war. The war didn’t radicalize the Palestinians. They can’t be radicalized, they have no room left to radicalize. Their extremism is a given. There’s nobody to talk to, the question is how we deal with that situation.
