Sharp observation, and it tracks historically. The Western left has a very poor record of drawing lessons from ideological failures. They didn’t pause for a second of self-reflection after the collapse of communism. They didn’t see it as ideological bankruptcy—just unfortunate execution. So they continued to preach the same ideas, from Marxism to anti-Israel demonization. I can imagine that if the regime in Iran collapses, they’ll fold it into their sealed worldview as well and keep on going as if nothing ever happened to challenge it.
