A Fox News investigation found that a California school district with a trans athlete controversy was in communication with Gavin Newsom's office about the state's Title IX legal battle with the Trump administration. The district later consciously cut off almost all communication with media outlets over the situation. Meanwhile, a young female student who didn't feel comfortable sharing the locker room with the trans athlete, partially because of her religious obligations as a practicing Muslim, was shunned and harassed to the point where she will no longer be competing in track and field this spring and had to graduate early to remove herself from the enviornment. Hadeel Hazameh alleges she made written allegations to school administrators about another student telling her to "die," and nothing was done in response. Hadeel responded to news that the U.S. Department of Education has launched an investigation against the school district.
