There are historical grievances; there are cultural disputes, current grievances related to fund and seat allocation, and which provinces are preferred for stuff like manufacturing subsidies for EVs. We can debate equalization until dawn. None of this is fixed by separating.

Gerson is on fire on this issue. The endless black hole of victimhood from Albertan separatists is really something to behold, especially when you dissect the grievances in question. Some stuff can be argued, but so much is fantasyland.
