If she loses, it should be a bog-standard, competitive primary process next time. I don't think there's any reason to believe she's the best they've got as far as candidates go. I suspect they will also try to take a hard turn toward the center if that happens.

@jessesingal Let's put it this way. If she loses this time around, do you think she should be a candidate again next time, when she'd get a chance to build her own staff and what-not? I didn't think so.
