In a joint statement, the Shin Bet and Israel Police announced the arrest of 22-year-old Bashar Hassan Qassem Musa, an information systems student from Deir al-Assad (village in the Galilee), for conducting security-related missions on behalf of Iranian intelligence. Investigators found that Musa had maintained contact with an Iranian operative for several months, during which he attempted to carry out attacks, scatter nails on a Beersheba road, and incite divisive discourse, motivated by events in Gaza. He was paid for these acts. Israeli authorities reiterated warnings against contact with enemy elements and pledged continued efforts to expose and prosecute espionage committed by Israeli citizens.
