I feel like AI companies & governments need to do a lot better job explaining the benefits we're chasing with AI, when the companies casually say there's a 10% risk it'll "kill all humans" within 10yrs and no plan to deal with it Like maybe let's talk about this first?

Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.
