News aus Belém! (English Below) Die letzte Plenarsitzung auf der Weltklimakonferenz hat gerade begonnen. Der zentrale Verhandlungstext ist leider ein fossiles Desaster. Das Wort fossile Rohstoffe – also fossil fuels – kommt gar nicht erst vor. Die Europäische Union – und ja, auch sehr klar Deutschland – hat sich nicht hart genug gegen den fossilen Rollback und gegen fossile Profitinteressen gestellt. Ein krasser Gegensatz zu vor zwei Jahren, als sich mit Annalena Baerbock eine feministische Außenpolitik mit klarer Sprache für einen fossilen Ausstieg durchgesetzt hatte. Wie geht es jetzt weiter? Die COP-Präsidentschaft hat gerade angekündigt, doch einen Prozess für eine Roadmap / einen Fahrplan für den Ausstieg aus den Fossilen anzustoßen. Dies steht aber nach wie vor nicht im Verhandlungstext, zeigt aber: Der Druck steigt! Jetzt geht es weiter – noch ist die COP30 nicht zu Ende – und noch sind wir hier und streiten für Klimagerechtigkeit! News from Belém! The European Union – and yes, very clearly Germany as well – has not taken a strong enough stand against the fossil rollback and fossil profit interests. This stands in stark contrast to two years ago, when a feminist foreign policy, led by Annalena Baerbock, prevailed with clear language calling for a fossil fuel phase-out. What happens next? The COP Presidency has just announced that it will initiate a process towards a roadmap / timetable for phasing out fossil fuels. However, this is still not part of the negotiating text, but it shows: the pressure is growing! Now we continue – COP30 is not over yet – and we are still here, fighting for climate justice!
