You can tell that trans women are really women because we get blamed by One Nation, the LNP, and Trump when random white men do crimes. A key point in all of this is the far right tested the waters with what they did and are still doing to trans people. If the base doesnt budge they'll take it to the next step, ie abortion rights, maternity leave, & assisted dying, disability rights & domestic violence being considered as a two-way street. Many who oppose the inclusion of trans women and girls being in female spaces erroneously claim that allowing trans women and girls to compete in sports or be housed in a female prison will harm cisgender women. This divide and conquer tactic gets it exactly wrong. Excluding women & girls who are trans hurts all women. It invites gender policing that could subject any woman to invasive tests or accusations of being “too masculine” or “too good” at their sport to be a “real” woman. This myth reinforces stereotypes that all women and girls are weak and in need of protection. The real motive is never about protection, it’s about excluding trans people from public spaces. On the other hand, including trans women and girls in female spaces promotes values of non-discrimination and inclusion among all women and girls.
