Let me drill down even more. I wouldn’t kill a single child to save my own. Imagine a doctor telling you that your kid needs a kidney transplant to survive but you can only get one by kidnapping and murdering a child from a nearby playground. What decent normal human being would consider for one second the option of doing that. Losing a child is every parent’s worst fear. Killing a child makes you the monster of another parent’s nightmare.
