Could be - There was a mistake in the article, which was since corrected. That being said, I don't think he would be fact-checking articles that he didn't have an over-arching problem with. He did this with the Atlantic piece, in which Jeffrey Goldberg left out a name who he thought was an active CIA agent and Vance tweeted that he wasn't. The CIA agent clearly was not the VP's issue with the article.
