🚨Insight: Two lessons I learned upon entering a safe room in Tel Aviv during a siren alert. When I arrived in Israel on November 9th for the first time in my life, I went to Dizengoff area for lunch at a restaurant called ‘HaAchim’ (‘The Brothers’), where I had the best hummus I’ve ever tasted. Just ten minutes after ordering, I heard the sirens. I was with my friend @NogaCaspi and we calmly entered the restaurant’s safe room—no panic, no rush. A few minutes later, we were back outside. For context, on November 9th, there was a siren in Tel Aviv due to a drone launched from the north. Noga asked if I was scared or terrified. She saw how calm I was. Of course, I wasn’t scared—not even 1%. I have already defeated the horrors of the pathological ideology behind those who sent the drones that day. You think I would be afraid of their metals? Defeating such evil makes you invincible. The only thing I was worried about was my hummus getting cold! Two lessons I learned: 1. The people of Israel are incredibly resilient. They won’t leave this land—no matter what their enemies do, they just won’t leave. 2. Israel values life. It builds shelters to protect its citizens, while Hamas has never built a single tunnel to protect its people—only its soldiers, as their own spokespeople have admitted. Israel is more worthy of the entire land of Israel than those who don’t value human life. I couldn’t help but imagine—if I were visiting a Palestinian state, would I find a shelter? Absolutely not. Israel’s morality and its care for the lives of its citizens should inspire Palestinian leaders who want their people to live in dignity. I returned to my hummus, which thankfully was still warm, and I echo again—it was the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended!
