Okay I'm going to devil's advocate here(this is not medical advice) what's the actual scientific evidence this is worse than other forms of managing pain? I understand self harm can go too much and result in really horrible or permanent damage(or death if you are retarded enough)

I hope people are developed enough to recognize two truths here: yes, Rich may have been rude, BUT ALSO, Aella is still doing something unethical and it needs to be addressed. Encouraging someone who is already considering self-harm is a huge problem. 🧵
