Israel's Defense Ministry has signed a massive NIS 1.5 billion ($340 million) deal with Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems for ammunition and munitions for the military. As part of the deal, Elbit is to establish a new factory to manufacture the weaponry. The ministry says the procurement is part of its "strategy to ensure a steady supply of critical materials for the IDF's strength and longevity during ongoing and future operations."
